With the ongoing COVID situation, we thought it was important to give schools opportunities to engage with concepts of social justice, poverty and children’s rights. We are excited to launch KidsView Online.

Through KidsView Online, your students will have a workshop facilitated by Catherine (Executive Director of Bahay Tuluyan) with support and contributions from the children in the Philippines and the team in Australia. The sessions are educational, interactive and fun!

These workshops are mapped to the Victorian Curriculum and builds students’ awareness of our world and their role as global citizens.

Select from these available workshops:

  • Social Justice – explore the distribution of resources, people’s needs and wants and how power and privilege impacts our lives
  • Education – understanding the barriers children face to accessing education, the consequences of lack of education, the impact of COVID and what we can do to make a difference.
  • Environment – consider the impact of changing climates, poverty and pollution on people living in high risk areas
  • Children’s Rights – learn about the rights of children and hear about how children from street situations have become involved in promoting children’s rights locally, nationally and internationally

The sessions will help your students understand the issues more deeply and empower them to make a difference. We also hope to run full-day workshops in schools as soon as restrictions are eased.

Time: 1 hour session (exclusive to your school) Cost: $200
